Veritas Mk. II Honing Guide

The Veritas Mk. II honing guide takes the difficulty and guesswork out of sharpening chisels and plane irons. An extremely versatile and precise guide, the Mk. II can handle almost any chisel or plane iron and enables you to get the same results with every sharpening, quickly and easily. This guide is very sturdy for a lifetime of use.

• Registration jig simultaneously squares and centers the blade while setting the correct projection
• 3-position eccentric roller for quick and accurate micro-bevels
• Holds chisels and blades from 1/4" to 2-7/8" wide
• Holds chisels and blades up to 15/32" thick
• Clamping system holds face of the blade
• Bevel range of 15° to 54°
• Back Bevel range of 10° to 20°
• Wide roller for Stability

Narrow Blade Head

The Veritas Narrow Blade Head for the Veritas Mk. II Honing Guide clamps blades from the sides rather than the top and bottom. Parallel side clamping jaws easily keep the blade square to the jig when working with narrow chisels. The Narrow Blade Head Attaches to the Standard Roller Assembly or the Camber Roller Assembly for the MK II Honing Guide, and it works with the Registration Jig for fast and accurate set up.

Camber Roller Assembly

The Camber Roller Assembly for the Veritas Mk. II Honing Guide is interchangeable with the Roller Assembly included with the Standard Guide. However, instead of a cylindrical roller, the Camber Roller is barrel shaped, allowing the user to rock the blade from side to side in order to add a curvature to the edge. Perfect for cambering plane blades to avoid edge marks.
